At the Hong Kong Mid-Autumn Festival, a Ding-Ding tram became that object. The exhibition ran 32 free public days inside an 8,000 sqm park zone. 300,000 visitors walked through over the run, with 100,000+ social shares across the event. The tram replicates Hong Kong's Ding-Ding at full size — 3.5 m tall, 6 m long. A red-gold gradient runs along the body, hand-painted onto silk. Bauhinia petals appear on the side panels, each painted separately.
Behind the tram, a Hong Kong skyline silhouette frames the scene. Warm LEDs run along both. These Lighting Attractions read as a postcard moment, not a vehicle prop.
Height scales 2 m to 5 m. Bauhinia patterns shift between pink-purple, deep purple with gold edges, or simplified floral forms. The skyline backdrop adjusts from a full Hong Kong view to a simplified silhouette, or ships as a standalone tram.
Galvanized steel frames hold 7-level wind resistance. Iron wire shapes the tram's curved body, window frames, and bauhinia petal details at sub-centimeter tolerance. Welded joints meet DB51/T 2939-2022, holding at least 50% of rated tensile strength.
IP67-rated LEDs handle coastal humidity. Tram body, skyline panels, and bauhinia accents ship as separate modules; a small crew assembles the full scene in one day.
