Project Overview

In October 2019, Montreal hosted North America’s largest Chinese lantern festival – "China Lights" – designed and produced by LanternsArt. Spanning 71,000 sq ft with 1,200+ individual pieces, this Mid-Autumn Festival event showcased authentic Zigong lantern artistry on an unprecedented scale.

Engineering Marvels: Where Tradition Meets Innovation

The centerpiece was an 80m-long imperial palace complex – the largest Chinese lantern structure ever exported overseas. Constructed with steel-framed and hand-painted silk, this architectural marvel stood 15m tall, requiring 3,000+ LED circuits.
