At Montreal China Light Carnival, a 180-lantern corridor produced that effect. Over seven weeks, 80,000 visitors walked the full route — the gallery quality kept them at a viewing pace, not a transit pace, which is what venue operators investing in Event Decorations aim for.
Red lacquered arches frame the walkway. Each silk lantern above carries hand-brushed ink-wash florals — lotus, peony, or custom motifs — painted by a single artist. No two lanterns share identical brushstrokes. Warm LEDs diffuse evenly through the silk, giving the passage a soft layered glow readable from either end. This Themed Light Installations piece works as a stand-alone entrance or a section between zones.
Length scales from 5 m to 50 m; height adjusts 3 m to 8 m. Floral patterns shift to cherry blossoms, regional blooms, or seasonal motifs. Color palette moves from traditional red-gold to winter white-silver or branded schemes. Lighting runs warm-only or switchable warm-cool.
Each lantern shade is painted individually on silk before assembly. Galvanized steel arches resist corrosion; stainless steel lantern skeletons hold through repeated seasonal use. Welded joints meet DB51/T 2939-2022, holding at least 50% of rated tensile strength. IP67-rated LEDs handle rain or light snow. Arches and lanterns ship in labeled segments; on-site assembly follows numbered order without heavy equipment.
