Local organizers faced a dual challenge: extreme desert conditions with daytime temperatures reaching 45°C and frequent sandstorms, and the need to create a visual experience that resonated with local cultural identity. The solution was a collection of custom light art pieces that drew on Arabic cultural symbols, including a 7-meter-tall Arabian girl, a replica of the Kuwait Towers, and a series of camel-themed installations that proved to be one of the most photographed attractions of the event. Over two months, the carnival attracted 300,000 visitors — including many traveling from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE — and generated more than 180,000 social media shares, a standout result within the broader Event Decorations display at the venue.
This Themed Light Installations set brings the spirit of the desert to life through a vibrant collection of camel lanterns in blue-white, red-white, pink-white, and multicolor floral-patterned finishes. The floral cut-out patterns and hand-painted detailing give each camel a distinctive character, while the interplay of warm and cool colors makes the installation equally striking by day and breathtaking when illuminated at night.

For the Kuwait project, the standard fabric was replaced with high-temperature-resistant material, and an additional UV-stabilized coating was applied to prevent fading under intense desert sun. All electrical components were sealed against fine sand ingress, and the galvanized steel frames received extra anti-corrosion treatment to withstand coastal salt spray. To ensure reliable operation in 45°C heat, the LED drivers were upgraded with heat-resistant components and passive cooling ventilation. Modular prefabrication allows each section to ship efficiently, while the sand-anchoring system (steel piles with weighted bases) ensures stability on soft ground. On-site assembly is completed within 72 hours of arrival.
