At the Hong Kong Mid-Autumn Festival, a panda embracing the moon held that role. The event ran 32 free public days inside an 8,000 sqm park zone, drawing 300,000 visitors with over 100,000 social shares. That family pull is what organizers investing in Illuminated Holiday Installations plan around.
The panda's arms wrap around a luminous moon, its coat running blue-purple rather than the expected black and white. Pink-purple flowers cluster at the base, hand-painted petal by petal.
The lighting runs in three tiers — the moon at full brightness, flowers at mid-tone, panda coat in soft diffusion. That layering is what separates these Themed Light Installations from a single-glow prop.
